Let’s take a look at one of our most recent events, a charming luncheon nestled in one of Birmingham’s beautiful historic neighborhoods!

With a passion for perfection, Table & Thyme is committed to creating unforgettable moments and providing elevated culinary experiences for every event we cater.  Recently, we got the chance to work with some talented artisans and vendors to put together a lunch event so inviting, that we couldn’t help but feel compelled to share some highlights! 

Settling in with some appetizing starters.

The menu for this event was centered around the freshness of spring. Guests could pair toasted and seasoned pita chips with velvety pistachio and chive labneh dip, savor a bite of creamy smoked gouda and artichoke angel hair pasta, or entice their palettes with our spring salad, complete with spring greens, sliced avocado, red onion, cucumber, and fresh strawberries, and topped with breaded goat cheese bites and a drizzle of house-made honey mustard dressing.

Aside from having a delicious menu of seasonally-inspired dishes to enjoy, guests could sip on a spring cocktail unlike any other. This fruity mixed drink was the perfect addition to the occasion and was garnished with fresh fruits, such as sliced strawberry and grapefruit, and energized even more with a touch of fresh mint. 

Only a place with great taste could complement this event’s stylish menu.

When it comes to hosting an unforgettable event, creating the right atmosphere is a key element in event planning. Luckily, this event was able to reach an ideal level of sophistication and class thanks to a one-of-a-kind venue! Hosted in the dining room of General, a local cafe and store in the Forest Park Village neighborhood of Birmingham, this event’s artisanal personality was able to shine. Lush florals and greenery from Shoppe, located next door and featured in our Scenic Garden Lunch Spread at The Shoppe blog, enhanced the expertly decorated tablescape for the perfect place setting for this event.
